فَأَخْبَرَنَاهُ أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ الْمَحْبُوبِيُّ ثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ ثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ أَنْبَأَ سُفْيَانُ بْنُ حُسَيْنٍ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ قَالَ عَادَ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَوْفٍ أَبَا الرَّدَّادِ اللَّيْثِيَّ فَقَالَ

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ قَالَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى أَنَا الرَّحْمَنُ خَلَقْتُ الرَّحِمَ وَشَقَقْتُ لَهَا شُعْبَةً مِنِ اسْمِي فَمَنْ وَصَلَهَا وَصَلْتُهُ وَمَنْ قَطَعَهَا قَطَعْتُهُ «رَجَعْتُ إِلَى ذِكْرِ الصَّحَابَةِ رِضْوَانُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِمْ أَجْمَعِينَ» صحيح

✧ I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: "Allah the Exalted said: I am al-Rahman. I created al-rahim and derived for it a branch from My name. Whoever maintains it, I maintain him, and whoever severs it, I sever him." "I returned to mentioning the Companions, ؓ." Sahih.
