أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الصَّفَّارُ ثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ بَحْرٍ الْبُرِّيِّ ثَنَا أَبِي ثَنَا سُوَيْدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَجْلَانَ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ تَعَالَى لَيُدْخِلُ بِلُقْمَةِ الْخُبْزِ وَقَبْضَةِ التَّمْرِ وَمِثْلِهِ مِمَّا يَنْفَعُ الْمِسْكِينَ ثَلَاثَةً الْجَنَّةَ الْآمِرُ بِهِ وَالزَّوْجَةُ الْمُصْلِحَةُ وَالْخَادِمُ الَّذِي يُنَاوِلُ الْمِسْكِينَ وَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي لَمْ يَنْسَ خَدَمَنَا»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Indeed Allah, Exalted is He, will admit three people to Paradise because of a morsel of bread, a handful of dates, or the like that benefits a poor person: the one who commands it, the wife who prepares it well, and the servant who hands it to the poor. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ also said: "Praise be to Allah who has not forgotten our servants."

They both said: This is a mistake, in which Suwayd erred. Rather, it is from Ibn ʿAjlān, from ʿAbdullāh b. ʿAbd al-Raḥmān b. Abī Ḥusayn, who said: It reached me that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said... and he mentioned it. This is how al-Layth, Ḥātim b. Ismāʿīl and a group narrated it, and this is the correct form, as a mursal report. My father said: Ibn ʿUyaynah narrated it from Ibn Abī Ḥusayn, from a man, from Abū al-Shaʿthāʾ, from the Prophet ﷺ, and this too is mursal.
