✧ As for the saying of Abu Awana

فَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ بَكْرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الصَّيْرَفِيُّ بِمَرْوَ ثنا أَبُو الْأَحْوَصِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْهَيْثَمِ الْقَاضِي ثنا سُرَيْجُ بْنُ النُّعْمَانِ ثنا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ الْمَاجِشُونِ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْكَرِيمِ عَنْ عَطَاءٍ عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ

قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «أَمَّنِي جِبْرِيلُ بِمَكَّةَ مَرَّتَيْنِ» فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ بِنَحْوِهِ «عَبْدُ الْكَرِيمِ هَذَا هُوَ ابْنُ أَبِي الْمُخَارِقِ بِلَا شَكٍّ وَإِنَّمَا خَرَّجْتُهُ شَاهِدًا» عبد الكريم واه

✧ The Prophet ﷺ said, “Gabriel led me in prayer in Makkah twice.” Then he mentioned the hadith in a similar manner. “This 'Abd al-Karim is, without a doubt, Ibn Abi al-Mukhariq. I only cited it as a corroborating witness.” 'Abd al-Karim is weak.
