✧ I pledged allegiance to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ among the women of the Muslims, and we said to him: 'We have come to you, O Messenger of Allah, to pledge allegiance to you that we will not associate anything with Allah, will not steal, will not commit adultery, will not kill our children, will not bring slander that we fabricate between our hands and feet, and will not disobey you in what is right.' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'In what you are able to do.' We said: 'Allah and His Messenger are more merciful to us than ourselves.' We said: 'Accept our pledge, O Messenger of Allah.' He said: 'Go, for I have accepted your pledge. My word to one woman is like my word to a hundred women.' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ did not shake hands with any of us.
