أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو جَعْفَرِ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ الْحَافِظُ وَعَبْدَانُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ الدَّقَّاقُ بِهَمْدَانَ قَالَا ثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ ثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْمَاعِيلَ الْفَرْوِيُّ ثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ عَنْ أَخِيهِ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ جَحْشٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ حَمْنَةَ بِنْتِ جَحْشٍ أَنَّهَا قِيلَ لَهَا قُتِلَ أَخُوكِ قَالَتْ

رَحِمَهُ اللَّهُ إِنَّا لِلَّهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ فَقِيلَ لَهَا قُتِلَ خَالُكِ حَمْزَةُ فَقَالَتْ إِنَّا لِلَّهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ فَقِيلَ لَهَا قُتِلَ زَوْجُكِ قَالَتْ وَاحُزْنَاهُ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «إِنَّ لِلزَّوْجِ مِنَ الْمَرْأَةِ لِشُعْبَةً مَا هِيَ لِشَيْءٍ» سكت عنه الذهبي في التلخيص

✧ "May Allah have mercy on him. Indeed we belong to Allah and to Him we return." Then it was said to her, "Your maternal uncle Hamza has been killed." She said, "Indeed we belong to Allah and to Him we return." Then it was said to her, "Your husband has been killed." She said, "Woe for my grief!" The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Indeed, for the husband over the wife there is a branch that is not for anything else." Al-Dhahabi remained silent about it in the Talkhis.
