حَدَّثَنِي عَلِيُّ بْنُ حَمْشَاذٍ الْعَدْلُ ثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الْقَاضِي ثَنَا أَبُو النُّعْمَانِ عَارِمٌ عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ ثَابِتٍ الْبُنَانِيِّ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ رَأَى فِي الْمَسْجِدِ حَبْلًا مَمْدُودًا بَيْنَ سَارِيَتَيْنِ فَقَالَ «مَا هَذَا الْحَبْلُ؟» فَقِيلَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ حَمْنَةُ بِنْتُ جَحْشٍ تُصَلِّي فَإِذَا أَعْيَتْ تَعَلَّقَتْ بِالْحَبَلِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «لِتُصَلِّ مَا أَطَاقَتْ فَإِذَا أَعْيَتْ فَلْتَقْعُدْ» وَحَدَّثَنِي عَلِيٌّ ثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ ثَنَا أَبُو النُّعْمَانِ ثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ عَنْ أَنَسٍ بِمِثْلِهِسكت عنه الذهبي في التلخيص

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ saw in the mosque a rope stretched between two pillars and said, "What is this rope?" It was said, "O Messenger of Allah, Hamna bint Jahsh prays, and when she gets tired she holds on to the rope." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Let her pray as long as she is able, and when she gets tired, let her sit." And Ali narrated to me, Isma'il narrated to us, Abu al-Nu'man narrated to us, Hammad b. Salama narrated to me from Humayd from Anas something similar. Al-Dhahabi remained silent about it in the Talkhis.
