✧ Fatimah bt. al-Khattab b. Nufayl, the sister of Umar

حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو بَكْرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ بَالَوَيْهِ ثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الْحَرْبِيُّ ثَنَا مُصْعَبُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الزُّبَيْرِيُّ قَالَ

«وَمِنْهُنَّ فَاطِمَةُ بِنْتُ الْخَطَّابِ بْنِ نُفَيْلٍ امْرَأَةُ سَعِيدِ بْنِ زَيْدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ نُفَيْلٍ وَكَانَتْ قَدْ أَسْلَمَتْ قَبْلَ عُمَرَ وَكَانَتْ مِنْ أَوَّلِ الْمُبَايِعَاتِ بِمَكَّةَ»

Translation

  3. Muṣʿab b. ʿAbdullāh al-Zubayrī

✧ Among them was Fatimah bt. al-Khattab b. Nufayl, the wife of Sa'id b. Zayd b. Amr b. Nufayl. She had embraced Islam before Umar and was among the first women to pledge allegiance in Makkah.
