al-Mustadrak (al-Hakim) 6863

✧ Mentioning the daughters of Abd al-Muttalib, the maternal aunts of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, along with his cousins. Among them is his aunt Safiyyah bt. Abd al-Muttalib, the sister of Hamzah, and the mother of Zubayr b. al-Awwam, ᴿᴬ .

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ الْبَغْدَادِيُّ ثَنَا أَبُو عُلَاثَةَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ خَالِدٍ ثَنَا أَبِي ثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ ثَنَا أَبُو الْأَسْوَدِ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ قَالَ

لَمْ يُدْرِكْ أَحَدٌ مِنْ بَنَاتِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ الْإِسْلَامَ إِلَّا صَفِيَّةُ قَالَ «وَأَسْهَمَ لَهَا النَّبِيُّ ﷺ سَهْمَيْنِ» وَكَانَتْ أُخْتَ حَمْزَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ لِأَبِيهِ وَأُمِّهِ

✧ No one among the daughters of Abd al-Muttalib lived to see Islam except Safiyyah. He said, "And the Prophet ﷺ allotted her two shares." She was the full sister of Hamzah b. Abd al-Muttalib, sharing both father and mother.
