أَخْبَرَنِي أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ زَكَرِيَّا ثَنَا خَلِيفَةُ بْنُ خَيَّاطٍ قَالَ
«مُجَاشِعُ بْنُ مَسْعُودِ بْنِ ثَعْلَبَةَ بْنِ وَهْبِ بْنِ عَائِذٍ يُكَنَّى أَبَا سُلَيْمَانَ وَأُمُّهُ وَأُمُّ أَخِيهِ مُجَالِدٍ مُلَيْكَةُ بِنْتُ سُفْيَانَ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ لَبِيدِ بْنِ خُزَيْمَةَ قُتِلَ مُجَاشِعٌ يَوْمَ الْجَمَلِ الْأَصْغَرِ سَنَةَ سِتٍّ وَثَلَاثِينَ وَدُفِنَ فِي دَارِهِ فِي بَنِي سُلَيْمٍ حَضْرَةَ بَنِي سَدُوسٍ وَلَهُ بِالْبَصْرَةِ غَيْرُ دَارٍ فَمِنْهَا دَارُهُ بِحَضْرَةِ مَسْجِدِ الْجَامِعِ»

✧ Mujashi' b. Mas'ud b. Tha'labah b. Wahb b. 'A'idh, whose kunyah was Abu Sulayman. His mother and the mother of his brother Mujalid were Mulaykah bt. Sufyan b. al-Harith b. Labid b. Khuzaymah. Mujashi' was killed on the day of the lesser Jamal in the year thirty-six and was buried in his house among the Banu Sulaym, in the presence of Banu Sadus. He had more than one house in Basra, among them his house by the congregational mosque.
