✧ Peace be upon you, Abu Khubayb—he said it three times. I had forbidden you from this—he said it three times. You used to fast much, pray much, and maintain family ties. The stance of 'Abdullah b. 'Umar reached al-Hajjaj, so he had him brought down and cast into the Jewish graves. He sent to Asma' bt. Abi Bakr, who had lost her sight, ordering her to come to him, but she refused. He sent to her: You will come, or I will send someone to drag you by your forelock. She said: By Allah, I will not come to you until you send someone to drag me by my forelock. His messenger came and told him, and he said: Boy, hand me my horse's forelock. He mounted his mule and went to her, seething, until he reached her and said: How do you find what Allah has done to the enemy of Allah? She said: I find that you have ruined his worldly life and ruined your own Hereafter. As for what you used to taunt him with, Dhat al-Nitaqayn—yes, I had two waist-belts: one with which I covered the food of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ from ants, and my other belt, which women must have. I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: In Thaqif there is a liar and a destroyer. As for the liar, we have seen him; as for the destroyer, you are he. Then he left. The narrations are sound that 'Abdullah b. al-Zubayr heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, entered upon him, and left his presence when he was eight years old. I will mention, by Allah's will, his reports that indicate that in this place, for what is recorded in his Musnad from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ is more than seventy hadiths.
