فَحَدَّثَنِي أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ الثَّقَفِيُّ ثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ زَكَرِيَّا ثَنَا خَلِيفَةُ بْنُ خَيَّاطٍ قَالَ
«وَكَانَتْ وَفَاةُ أَبِي مُحَمَّدٍ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِ وَأُمُّهُ رَيْطَةُ بِنْتُ مُنَبِّهِ بْنِ الْحَجَّاجِ بْنِ عَامِرِ بْنِ حُذَيْفَةَ بْنِ سَعْدِ بْنِ سَهْمٍ سَنَةَ خَمْسٍ وَسِتِّينَ وَكَانَ يَخْضِبُ بِالسَّوَادِ وَكَانَ عَمْرُو بْنُ الْعَاصِ أَكْبَرَ مِنَ ابْنِهِ بِاثْنَتْيْ عَشْرَةَ سَنَةً»
Translation

✧ "The death of Abu Muhammad Abdullah b. Amr b. al-As — his mother was Rayta bt. Munabbih b. al-Hajjaj b. Amir b. Hudhayfah b. Sa'd b. Sahm — occurred in the year 65 AH. He used to dye his hair black. Amr b. al-As was twelve years older than his son."
