حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ ثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ الْجَهْمِ ثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ الْفَرَجِ ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُمَرَ قَالَ
«عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِ بْنِ وَائِلِ بْنِ هَاشِمِ بْنِ سَعِيدِ بْنِ سَهْمِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ هُصَيْصِ بْنِ كَعْبٍ أَسْلَمَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو قَبْلَ أَبِيهِ وَكَانَ مِمَّا ذَكَرَ رَجُلًا طُوَالًا أَحْمَرَ عَظِيمَ السَّاقَيْنِ أَبْيَضَ الرَّأْسِ وَاللِّحْيَةِ وَكَانَ قَدْ عَمِيَ فِي آخِرِ عُمُرِهِ تُوُفِّيَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو بِالشَّامِ سَنَةَ خَمْسٍ وَسِتِّينَ وَهُوَ يَوْمَئِذٍ ابْنُ اثْنَتَيْنِ وَسَبْعِينَ سَنَةً وَكَانَ يُكَنَّى أَبَا مُحَمَّدٍ»

✧ "Abdullah b. Amr b. al-As b. Wa'il b. Hashim b. Sa'id b. Sahm b. Amr b. Husays b. Ka'b. Abdullah b. Amr embraced Islam before his father. Among what was mentioned about him: he was a tall, reddish man with large calves, white hair and beard. He became blind at the end of his life. Abdullah b. Amr died in Syria in the year 65 AH, when he was seventy-two years old. He was given the kunya Abu Muhammad."
