✧ From his grandfather al-Arqam, who was at Badr: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sheltered in his house near al-Safa until forty Muslim men were complete, the last of them in Islam being 'Umar b. al-Khattab. When they became forty, they went out to the polytheists. Al-Arqam said: 'I came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to bid him farewell, intending to go to Jerusalem. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to me, "Where do you intend?" I said, "Jerusalem." He said, "What takes you there? Is it for trade?" I said, "No, but to pray in it." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "A prayer here is better than a thousand prayers there."
