أَخْبَرَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ الْفَضْلِ الْمُزَكِّي ثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ أَنَا عَبْدَةُ بْنُ سَلْمَانَ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ
اسْتَأْذَنَ حَسَّانُ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ فِي هِجَاءِ الْمُشْرِكِينَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «فَكَيْفَ بِنَسَبِي فِيهِمْ؟» فَقَالَ حَسَّانُ لَأَسُلَّنَّكَ مِنْهُمْ كَمَا تُسَلُّ الشَّعَرَةُ مِنَ الْعَجِينِعلى شرط البخاري ومسلم

✧ Hassan b. Thabit asked permission from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to satirize the polytheists. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'What about my lineage among them?' Hassan said, 'I will draw you out from them as a hair is drawn out from dough.'
