حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ ثَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ ثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنِ الْحَكَمِ بْنِ عُتَيْبَةَ قَالَ

قَدِمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ الْمَدِينَةَ أَوَّلَ مَا قَدِمَهَا فَقَالَ عَمَّارُ بْنُ يَاسِرٍ «مَا لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ بُدٌّ مِنْ أَنْ نَجْعَلَ لَهُ مَكَانًا إِذَا اسْتَيْقَظَ مِنْ قَائِلَتِهِ اسْتَظَلَّ فِيهِ وَصَلَّى فِيهِ» فَجَمَعَ عَمَّارٌ حِجَارَةً فَسَوَّى مَسْجِدَ قُبَاءَ فَهُوَ أَوَّلُ مَسْجِدٍ بُنِيَ وَعَمَّارٌ بَنَاهُ

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ arrived in Madinah, the first time he came to it, and 'Ammar ibn Yasir said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ must have a place where, when he wakes from his midday nap, he can seek shade in it and pray in it." So 'Ammar gathered stones and leveled the Mosque of Quba, and it is the first mosque that was built, and 'Ammar built it.
