حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ ثَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ ثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ الزُّبَيْرِ بْنِ الْعَوَّامِ قَالَ
قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «إِنَّ لِكُلِّ نَبِيٍّ حَوَارِيًّا وَإِنَّ حَوَارِيَّ الزُّبَيْرُ» فَقِيلَ لَهُ يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ أَتَعْلَمُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَهَا لِأَحَدٍ غَيْرَكَ؟ قَالَ لَا وَاللَّهِ مَا أَعْلَمُ «صَحِيحٌ عَلَى شَرْطِ الشَّيْخَيْنِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ بِهَذِهِ السِّيَاقَةِ» على شرط البخاري ومسلم

✧ The Prophet ﷺ said, "Every prophet has a disciple, and my disciple is Az-Zubayr." It was said to him, "O Abu 'Abd Allah, do you know that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said it to anyone other than you?" He said, "No, by Allah, I do not know." [Al-Hakim said:] "Sahih according to the conditions of the two Shaykhs, but they did not include it with this wording." According to the conditions of al-Bukhari and Muslim.

يرويه هشام بن عروة عن أبيه واختلف عنه فرواه يونس بن بكير ومحاضر بن المورع عن هشام عن أبيه عن الزبير ورواه ابن عيينة وأبو أسامة عن هشام بن عروة عن ابن المنكدر عن جابر وهو المشهور فإن كان يونس بن بكير ومحاضر حفظا حديث الزبير فقد أغربا عن هشام ورواه حماد بن سلمة ومفضل بن فضالة عن هشام عن أبيه مرسلا وقال حماد بن زيد عن هشام عن عبد الله بن الزبير أن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال ذلك

Bukayr and Muḥāḍir b. al-Muwarriʿ narrated it from Hishām, from his father, from al-Zubayr. Ibn ʿUyaynah and Abū Usāmah narrated it from Hishām b. ʿUrwah, from Ibn al-Munkadir, from Jābir, and this is the well-known version. If Yūnus b. Bukayr and Muḥāḍir preserved the hadith of al-Zubayr, then they have related something unusual (gharīb) from Hishām. Ḥammād b. Salamah and Mufaḍḍal b. Faḍālah narrated it from Hishām, from his father, as a mursal report. And Ḥammād b. Zayd said: from Hishām, from ʿAbdullāh b. al-Zubayr, that the Prophet ﷺ said that.
