حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ الثَّقَفِيُّ ثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى الْحُلْوَانِيُّ ثَنَا عَتِيقُ بْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو يَعْقُوبَ بْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ بْنِ حَبِيبِ بْنِ ثَابِتِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ لِأَبِيهِ يَا أَبَتِ

حَدِّثْنِي عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ حَتَّى أُحَدِّثَ عَنْكَ فَإِنَّ كُلَّ أَبْنَاءِ الصَّحَابَةِ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَبِيهِ فَقَالَ يَا بُنَيَّ مَا مِنْ أَحَدٍ صَحِبَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ بِصُحْبَةٍ إِلَّا وَقَدْ صَحِبْتُهُ بِمِثْلِهَا أَوْ أَفْضَلَ مِنْهَا وَلَقَدْ عَلِمْتَ بِأَنَّ أُمَّكَ أَسْمَاءَ ابْنَةَ أَبِي بَكْرٍ كَانَتْ تَحْتِي وَأَنَّ خَالَتَكَ عَائِشَةَ بِنْتَ أَبِي بَكْرٍ وَلَقَدْ عَلِمْتَ أَنَّ أُمِّي صَفِيَّةُ بِنْتُ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ وَأَنُّ أَخْوَالِي حَمْزَةُ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ وَأَبُو طَالِبٍ وَعَبَّاسٌ وَأَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ ابْنُ خَالِي وَلَقَدْ عَلِمْتَ أَنَّ عَمَّتِي خَدِيجَةَ بِنْتَ خُوَيْلِدٍ كَانَتْ تَحْتَهُ وَأَنَّ ابْنَتَهَا فَاطِمَةُ ابْنَةُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَلَقَدْ عَلِمْتَ أَنَّ خَدِيجَةَ أُمُّ أُمِّهَا حَبِيبَةُ بِنْتُ أَسَدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعُزَّى وَلَقَدْ عَلِمْتَ أَنَّ أُمَّ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ آمِنَةُ بِنْتُ وَهْبِ بْنِ عَبْدِ مَنَافِ بْنِ زُهْرَةَ وَلَقَدْ صَحِبْتُهُ بِأَحْسَنَ صُحْبَةٍ وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ وَلَقَدْ سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ «مَنْ قَالَ عَلَيَّ مَا لَمْ أَقُلْ فَلْيَتَبَوَّأْ مَقْعَدَهُ مِنَ النَّارِ» سكت عنه الذهبي في التلخيص

✧ He said, "Tell me about the Messenger of Allah ﷺ so that I may narrate from you, for all the sons of the Companions narrate from their fathers." He said, "My son, there is no one who accompanied the Messenger of Allah ﷺ with any companionship except that I accompanied him with the like of it or better. You know that your mother Asma' daughter of Abu Bakr was my wife, and that your maternal aunt 'A'ishah daughter of Abu Bakr [is also related to me]. You know that my mother is Safiyyah daughter of 'Abd al-Muttalib, and that my maternal uncles are Hamzah b. 'Abd al-Muttalib, Abu Talib, and 'Abbas, and that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ is my maternal cousin. You know that my paternal aunt Khadijah daughter of Khuwaylid was his wife, and that her daughter Fatimah is the daughter of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. You know that Khadijah's mother is Habibah daughter of Asad b. 'Abd al-'Uzza. You know that the mother of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ is Aminah daughter of Wahb b. 'Abd Manaf b. Zuhrah. I accompanied him with the best companionship, praise be to Allah, and I heard him say: 'Whoever says about me what I did not say, let him take his seat in the Fire.'" Al-Dhahabi remained silent about it in the Talkhis.
