أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الصَّفَّارُ ثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يُونُسَ الضَّبِّيَّ ثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ الطَّيَالِسِيُّ ثَنَا شُعْبَةُ أَنَا جَامِعُ بْنُ شَدَّادٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ مِرْدَاسٍ قَالَ

«كَانَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ يَخْطُبُنَا كُلَّ خَمِيسٍ عَلَى رِجْلَيْهِ فَيَتَكَلَّمُ بِكَلِمَاتٍ وَنَحْنُ نَشْتَهِي أَنْ يَزِيدَ»
