أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ حَمُّويَهِ الصَّيْدَلَانِيُّ ثَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْبُوشَنْجِيُّ قَالَ
سَمِعْتُ يَحْيَى بْنَ بُكَيْرٍ يَقُولُ «تُوُفِّيَ حَاطِبُ بْنُ أَبِي بَلْتَعَةَ سَنَةَ ثَلَاثِينَ وَصَلَّى عَلَيْهِ عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عَفَّانَ وَكَانَ يُكَنَّى أَبَا مُحَمَّدٍ»
Translation

✧ I heard Yahya b. Bukayr say: “Hatib b. Abi Balta'ah died in the year thirty, and Uthman b. Affan prayed over him, and he was given the kunya Abu Muhammad.”
