حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ ثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ الْجَهْمِ ثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ الْفَرَجِ ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُمَرَ قَالَ
الْبَرَاءُ بْنُ مَالِكِ بْنِ النَّضْرِ بْنِ ضَمْضَمِ بْنِ زَيْدِ بْنِ حَرَامِ بْنِ جُنْدُبِ بْنِ عَامِرِ بْنِ غَنْمِ بْنِ عَدِيِّ بْنِ النَّجَّارِ وَأُمُّهُ أُمُّ سُلَيْمِ بِنْتِ مِلْحَانَ وَهُوَ أَخُو أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ لِأَبِيهِ وَأُمُّهُ شَهِدَ أُحُدًا وَالْخَنْدَقَ وَالْمَشَاهِدَ كُلَّهَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَكَانَ شُجَاعًا لَهُ فِي الْحَرْبِ مَكَانَةٌ

✧ Al-Bara’ b. Malik b. al-Nadr b. Damdam b. Zayd b. Haram b. Jundub b. ‘Amir b. Ghanm b. ‘Adi b. al-Najjar. His mother was Umm Sulaym bt. Milhan, and he was the brother of Anas b. Malik through his father and mother. He witnessed Uhud, the Trench, and all the battles with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He was brave and held a prominent position in war.
