✧ The biography of Bilal b. Rabah, the caller to prayer of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.

أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو بَكْرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الشَّافِعِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ الْوَاسِطِيُّ ثنا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ أَنَا حُسَامُ بْنُ مِصَكٍّ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَرْقَمَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ

«نِعْمَ الْمَرْءُ بِلَالٌ هُوَ سَيِّدُ الْمُؤَذِّنِينَ وَلَا يَتَّبِعُهُ إِلَّا مُؤَذِّنٌ وَالْمُؤَذِّنُونَ أَطْوَلُ النَّاسِ أَعْنَاقًا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ»

✧ How excellent a man is Bilal; he is the chief of the muezzins, and none follows him except a muezzin, and the muezzins will have the longest necks of all people on the Day of Resurrection.
