✧ One day the Messenger of Allah ﷺ woke up and called Bilal, saying: O Bilal, how did you precede me to Paradise last night? I heard the rustling of your footsteps ahead of me, and I came upon a palace of gold, square and lofty. I said: For whom is this palace? They said: For a man of Quraysh. I said: I am a Qurayshi; for whom is this palace? They said: For Umar b. al-Khattab. Bilal said: O Messenger of Allah, I have never given the call to prayer except that I prayed two rak'ahs, and no ritual impurity ever befell me except that I performed ablution at that time. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Because of this.' It is sahih according to the conditions of the two Shaykhs, but they did not record it, according to the conditions of al-Bukhari and Muslim.
