أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الصَّفَّارُ ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الْقَاضِي ثنا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ ثَابِتٍ عَنْ أَنَسٍ

أَنَّ أَهْلَ الْيَمَنِ قَدِمُوا عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَقَالُوا ابْعَثْ مَعَنَا رَجُلًا يُعَلِّمُنَا الْقُرْآنَ فَأَخَذَ بِيَدِ أَبِي عُبَيْدَةَ فَأَرْسَلَهُ مَعَهُمْ وَقَالَ «هَذَا أَمِينُ هَذِهِ الْأُمَّةِ» صَحِيحٌ عَلَى شَرْطِ مُسْلِمٍ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ بِذِكْرِ الْقُرْآنِ على شرط مسلم

✧ The people of Yemen came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, "Send with us a man to teach us the Qur'an." He took the hand of Abu Ubaidah and sent him with them, and said, "This is the trustworthy one of this nation." Sahih according to the conditions of Muslim, but they did not record it with the mention of the Qur'an. According to the conditions of Muslim.
