that Al-'Aqib and As-Sayyid (two of the leaders of the Christians of Najran) came to the Prophet ﷺ and said: "Send with us your trustworthy one." He said: "I shall send with you a trustworthy one who is truly a trustworthy one." So the people desired that, and he sent Abu 'Ubaidah, may Allah be pleased with him.

يرويه إسرائيل عن أبي إسحاق عن صلة عن ابن مسعود وتابعه الثوري ورواه شعبة عن أبي إسحاق عن صلة عن حذيفة ويشبه أن يكون الصحيح حديث ابن مسعود
machine translationIsrāʾīl narrates it from Abū Isḥāq, from Ṣilah, from Ibn Masʿūd, and al-Thawrī corroborated him. Shuʿbah narrated it from Abū Isḥāq, from Ṣilah, from Ḥudhayfah. It seems that the sound (ṣaḥīḥ) report is the ḥadīth of Ibn Masʿūd.
