حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ بَالَوَيْهِ ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الْحَرْبِيُّ ثنا مُصْعَبُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الزُّبَيْرِيُّ قَالَ
«وَمِنْ بَنِي زُهَيْرٍ صَفْوَانُ بْنُ مَخْرَمَةَ بْنِ نَوْفَلٍ وَبِهِ يُكَنَّى مَخْرَمَةُ وَهُوَ أَخُو الْمِسْوَرِ بْنِ مَخْرَمَةَ وَأُمُّهُ عَاتِكَةُ بِنْتُ عَوْفٍ أُخْتُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ»

✧ From Banu Zuhayr, Safwan ibn Makhrama ibn Nawfal, and by him Makhrama is given the kunya. He is the brother of al-Miswar ibn Makhrama, and his mother is Atikah bint Awf, sister of Abd al-Rahman ibn Awf.
