حَدَّثَنِي الْقَاضِي أَبُو بَكْرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُمَرَ بْنِ سَالِمِ بْنِ الْجِعَابِيِّ الْحَافِظُ الْأَوْحَدُ ثنا أَبُو شُعَيْبٍ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْحَرَّانِيُّ ثنا جَدِّي أَحْمَدُ بْنُ أَبِي شُعَيْبٍ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ حَسَّانَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ
جَاءَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ يَوْمَ فَتْحِ مَكَّةَ بِأَبِيهِ أَبِي قُحَافَةَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «لَوْ أَقْرَرْتَ الشَّيْخَ فِي بَيْتِهِ لَأَتَيْنَاهُ» صَحِيحٌ عَلَى شَرْطِ الشَّيْخَيْنِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ على شرط البخاري

✧ Abu Bakr came on the day of the conquest of Makkah with his father Abu Quhafah to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Had you left the old man in his house, we would have come to him.
