machine translationAs for ʿAbdullāh b. ʿAbd al-Malik, we do not know that he heard from al-Qāsim b. Muḥammad, and Muḥammad b. Abī Bakr was a small child when Abū Bakr (may God be pleased with him) died. We mentioned this hadith, despite the defect (ʿillah) it contains, only because it has a wording that is not narrated from the Prophet ﷺ except by this route. For that reason we mentioned it and made clear the defect in it.
