أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الصَّنْعَانِيُّ بِمَكَّةَ ثنا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ عَبَّادٍ ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ هِشَامٍ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «رَأَيْتُ فِي الْمَنَامِ كَأَنَّ أَبَا جَهْلٍ أَتَانِي فَبَايَعَنِي» فَلَمَّا أَسْلَمَ خَالِدُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ قِيلَ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَدْ صَدَقَ اللَّهُ رُؤْيَاكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ هَذَا كَانَ إِسْلَامُ خَالِدٍ فَقَالَ «لَيَكُونَنَّ غَيْرُهُ» حَتَّى أَسْلَمَ عِكْرِمَةُ بْنُ أَبِي جَهْلٍ وَكَانَ ذَلِكَ تَصْدِيقَ رُؤْيَاهُ «صَحِيحٌ عَلَى شَرْطِ الشَّيْخَيْنِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ» على شرط البخاري ومسلم

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: I saw in a dream as if Abu Jahl came to me and pledged allegiance to me. When Khalid b. al-Walid embraced Islam, it was said to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ: Allah has made your dream true, O Messenger of Allah—this was the Islam of Khalid. He said: There will certainly be another, until Ikrimah b. Abu Jahl embraced Islam, and that was the confirmation of his dream.
