✧ virtues of Ja'far b. Abi Talib b. Abd al-Muttalib b. Hashim, who was martyred in the Battle of Mu'tah in the eighth year of Hijrah.

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ الْمُزَنِيُّ ثنا الْهَيْثَمُ بْنُ خَلَفٍ الدُّورِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى حَدَّثَنِي عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَجِيدِ الْحَنَفِيُّ ثنا زَمْعَةُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ عَنْ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ وَهْرَامَ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «دَخَلْتُ الْجَنَّةَ الْبَارِحَةَ فَنَظَرْتُ فِيهَا فَإِذَا جَعْفَرٌ يَطِيرُ مَعَ الْمَلَائِكَةِ وَإِذَا حَمْزَةُ مُتَّكِئٌ عَلَى سَرِيرٍ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “I entered Paradise last night and looked around in it, and there was Ja'far flying with the angels, and there was Hamzah reclining on a couch.”
