حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الْحَافِظُ أَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عُمَرَ بْنِ بِسْطَامٍ الْمَرْوَزِيُّ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سَيَّارٍ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ اللَّيْثِ قَالَا ثنا رَافِعُ بْنُ أَشْرَسَ الْمَرْوَزِيُّ ثنا حُفَيْدٌ الصَّفَّارُ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الصَّايِغُ عَنْ عَطَاءٍ عَنْ جَابِرٍ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «سَيِّدُ الشُّهَدَاءِ حَمْزَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ وَرَجُلٌ قَالَ إِلَى إِمَامٍ جَائِرٍ فَأَمَرَهُ وَنَهَاهُ فَقَتَلَهُ» صَحِيحُ الْإِسْنَادِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ الصفار لا يدرى من هو

✧ From the Prophet ﷺ: "The master of the martyrs is Hamza b. Abd al-Muttalib, and a man who stood before a tyrannical ruler, enjoining good and forbidding evil, and the ruler killed him." Sahih isnad, but they did not include it. Al-Saffar is unknown.
