حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ الْجَهْمِ ثنا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ الْفَرَجِ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُمَرَ

عَنْ شُيُوخِهِ قَالُوا لَمَّا أُصِيبَ حَمْزَةُ جَعَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «لَنْ أُصَابَ بِمِثْلِكَ أَبَدًا» ثُمَّ قَالَ لِفَاطِمَةَ وَلِعَمَّتِهِ صَفِيَّةِ «أَبْشِرَا أَتَانِي جِبْرِيلُ عَلَيْهِ الصَّلَاةُ وَالسَّلَامُ فَأَخْبَرَنِي أَنَّ حَمْزَةَ مَكْتُوبٌ فِي أَهْلِ السَّمَاوَاتِ حَمْزَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ أَسَدُ اللَّهِ وَأَسَدُ رَسُولِهِ» حذفه الذهبي من التلخيص

Translation

✧ From his shaykhs, they said: When Hamza was struck down, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ kept saying, "I will never be afflicted with the like of you." Then he said to Fatima and his paternal aunt Safiyya, "Rejoice: Jibril ﷺ came to me and informed me that Hamza is written among the inhabitants of the heavens as Hamza b. Abd al-Muttalib, the lion of Allah and the lion of His Messenger." Al-Dhahabi omitted it from the Talkhis.
