✧ foster brotherhood of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and his brother through breastfeeding

أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ الْجَهْمِ ثنا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ الْفَرَجِ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُمَرَ حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ الْمَخْرَمِيُّ عَنْ أُمِّ بَكْرٍ بِنْتِ الْمِسْوَرِ بْنِ مَخْرَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهَا

«أَنَّ آمِنَةَ بِنْتَ وَهْبٍ أُمَّ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ كَانَتْ فِي حِجْرِ عَمِّهَا أَهْيَبَ بْنِ عَبْدِ مَنَافِ بْنِ زُهْرَةَ وَإِنَّ عَبْدَ الْمُطَّلِبِ بْنَ هَاشِمٍ جَاءَ بِابْنِهِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ أَبِي رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَتَزَوَّجَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ آمِنَةَ بِنْتَ وَهْبٍ وَتَزَوَّجَ عَبْدُ الْمُطَّلِبِ هَالَةَ بِنْتَ أَهْيَبَ بْنِ عَبْدِ مَنَافِ بْنِ زُهْرَةَ وَهِيَ أُمُّ حَمْزَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ فِي مَجْلِسٍ وَاحِدٍ وَكَانَ قَرِيبَ السِّنِّ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَأَخُوهُ مِنَ الرَّضَاعَةِ»

✧ "Indeed Amina bint Wahb, the mother of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, was in the chamber of her uncle Ahyaab ibn Abdul Manaf ibn Zuhrah. And indeed Abd al-Muttalib ibn Hashim brought his son Abdullah ibn Abd al-Muttalib, the father of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and Abdullah married Amina bint Wahb. And Abd al-Muttalib married Hala bint Ahyaab ibn Abdul Manaf ibn Zuhrah, who was the mother of Hamza ibn Abd al-Muttalib, in the same gathering. And he (Abd al-Muttalib) was close in age to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and his foster brother."
