حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ بَطَّةَ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ جَهْمٍ ثنا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ الْفَرَجِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ قَالَ

«كَانَ مَوْتُ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ مَعْرُورٍ فِي صَفَرٍ قَبْلَ قَدُومِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ بِشَهْرٍ وَكَانَ أَوَّلُ مَنْ تَكَلَّمَ مِنَ النُّقَبَاءِ»
