✧ Al-Bara' b. Ma'rur was the first to strike the hand of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in allegiance to him on the Night of al-Aqaba among the seventy of the Ansar. Al-Bara' b. Ma'rur stood up, praised Allah, and extolled Him, then said: "Praise be to Allah who honored us with Muhammad ﷺ and brought him to us. He was the first to answer and the last to call, so we answered Allah ﷻ, and we heard and obeyed. O assembly of Aws and Khazraj, Allah has honored you with His religion. If you take listening, obedience, and support with gratitude, then obey Allah and His Messenger." Then he sat down.
