حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الدُّورِيُّ ثنا قُرَادُ أَبُو نُوحٍ أَنْبَأَ الْقَاسِمُ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ عَنْ يُوسُفَ بْنِ مَازِنٍ قَالَ
عَرَضَ رَجُلٌ لِلْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ حِينَ بَايَعَ مُعَاوِيَةَ فَأَنَّبَهُ وَقَالَ سَوَّدْتَ وُجُوهَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَفَعَلْتَ وَفَعَلْتَ فَقَالَ «لَا تُؤَنِّبْنِي فَإِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ رَأَى بَنِي أُمَيَّةَ يَتَوَاثَبُونَ عَلَى مِنْبَرِهِ رَجُلًا رَجُلًا فَشَقَّ ذَلِكَ عَلَيْهِ وَاهْتَمَّ فَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ ﷻ إِنَّا أَعْطَيْنَاكَ الْكَوْثَرَ نَهَرٌ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَإِنَّا أَنْزَلْنَاهُ فِي لَيْلَةِ الْقَدْرِ وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا لَيْلَةُ الْقَدْرِ لَيْلَةُ الْقَدْرِ خَيْرٌ مِنْ أَلْفِ شَهْرٍ يَقْضُونَ بَعْدَكَ» حذفه الذهبي من التلخيص لضعفه

✧ A man criticized Hasan ibn Ali when he pledged allegiance to Muawiya, saying that Hasan had brought shame to the believers and had done this and that. Hasan replied, "Do not blame me, for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saw the Umayyads taking turns on his pulpit, one after another, and it distressed him and concerned him, so Allah Almighty revealed: 'Indeed, We have granted you Al-Kawthar,' a river in Paradise. And He also revealed: 'Indeed, We sent it down during the Night of Decree. And what will make you know what the Night of Decree is? The Night of Decree is better than a thousand months' during which they will rule after you.” This was omitted by Al-Dhahabi from his summary due to its weakness.
