✧ While the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was addressing the people, al-Hasan b. Ali came and climbed up to him, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ hugged him and said: "Indeed, this son of mine is a sayyid, and perhaps Allah ﷻ will reconcile through him two great factions of the Muslims." Al-Bukhari recorded both through Abu Musa Isra'il from al-Hasan.

  • Dāraquṭnī

machine translationAḥmad b. ʿAbd al-Ṣamad al-Nahrawānī, who is well known and unobjectionable, narrated it from Ibn ʿUyaynah, from Ayyūb, from al-Ḥasan, but he erred in it. Rather, Ibn ʿUyaynah narrated it from Abū Mūsā Isrāʾīl, from al-Ḥasan, from Abū Bakrah. Likewise Yūnus, Manṣūr and ʿAmr b. ʿUbayd narrated it from al-Ḥasan, and that is the established version.
