✧ Among them is Abu al-Aswad, Humaid b. al-Aswad al-Basri, the trustworthy and reliable.
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ الْمُؤَذِّنُ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عِمْرَانَ النَّسَوِيُّ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ زُهَيْرٍ ثنا مُصْعَبُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الزُّبَيْرِيُّ قَالَ وَبُسْرَةُ بِنْتُ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ نَوْفَلِ بْنِ أَسَدٍ مِنَ الْمُبَايِعَاتِ وَوَرَقَةُ بْنُ نَوْفَلٍ عَمُّهَا وَلَيْسَ لِصَفْوَانَ بْنِ نَوْفَلٍ عَقِبٌ إِلَّا مِنْ قِبَلِ بُسْرَةَ وَهِيَ زَوْجَةُ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ مُغِيرَةَ بْنِ أَبِي الْعَاصِ «وَقَدْ رُوِيَ هَذَا الْحَدِيثُ عَنْ جَمَاعَةٍ مِنَ الصَّحَابَةِ وَالتَّابِعِينَ عَنْ بُسْرَةَ مِنْهُمْ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ وَعَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِ وَسَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ وَعَمْرَةَ بِنْتِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْأَنْصَارِيَّةِ وَعَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ وَمَرْوَانَ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ وَسُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ مُوسَى» وَقَدْ رَوِينَا عَنْ بُسْرَةَ بِنْتِ صَفْوَانَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ خَمْسَةَ أَحَادِيثَ غَيْرِ هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ وَقَدْ ثَبَتَ بِمَا ذَكَرْنَاهُ اشْتِهَارَ بُسْرَةَ بِنْتِ صَفْوَانَ وَارْتَفَعَ عَنْهَا اسْمُ الْجَهَالَةِ بِهَذِهِ الرِّوَايَاتِ وَقَدْ رَوِينَا إِيجَابَ الْوُضُوءِ مِنْ مَسِّ الذَّكَرِ عَنْ جَمَاعَةٍ مِنَ الصَّحَابَةِ وَالصَّحَابِيَّاتِ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ مِنْهُمْ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ وَأَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ وَزَيْدُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ الْجُهَنِيُّ وَسَعْدُ بْنُ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ وَجَابِرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ وَأُمُّ حَبِيبَةَ وَأُمُّ سَلَمَةَ وَأَرْوَى
Translation
✧ Muhammad b. Yusuf al-Mu'adhdhin informed us, Muhammad b. 'Imran al-Nasawi narrated to us, Ahmad b. Zuhayr narrated to us, Mus'ab b. 'Abdullah al-Zubayri narrated to us, he said: And Busrah bt. Safwan b. Nawfal b. Asad was from the women who gave the pledge, and Waraqah b. Nawfal was her paternal uncle. Safwan b. Nawfal had no descendants except through Busrah, and she was the wife of Mu'awiyah b. Mughirah b. Abi al-'As. "This hadith has been narrated from a group of the Sahabah and Tabi'in from Busrah, among them 'Abdullah b. 'Umar b. al-Khattab, 'Abdullah b. 'Amr b. al-'As, Sa'id b. al-Musayyib, 'Amrah bt. 'Abd al-Rahman al-Ansariyyah, 'Abdullah b. Abi Mulaykah, Marwan b. al-Hakam, and Sulayman b. Musa." And we have narrated from Busrah bt. Safwan from the Prophet ﷺ five hadiths other than this one. It has been established by what we have mentioned the fame of Busrah bt. Safwan, and the name of being unknown has been lifted from her by these narrations. And we have narrated the obligation of ablution from touching the penis from a group of male and female companions from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, among them 'Abdullah b. 'Umar, Abu Hurayrah, Zayd b. Khalid al-Juhani, Sa'd b. Abi Waqqas, Jabir b. 'Abdullah, Umm Habibah, Umm Salamah, and Arwa.
