✧ The merits of Fatimah, the daughter of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ

أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو بَكْرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ الذُّهْلِيُّ بِبَغْدَادَ ثنا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْفِرْيَابِيُّ ثنا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الدِّمَشْقِيُّ ثنا عُمَرُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ الدِّمَشْقِيُّ ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ عَنْ أُمِّ أَيْمَنَ قَالَتْ

«زَوَّجَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ ابْنَتَهُ فَاطِمَةَ عَلِيَّ بْنَ أَبِي طَالِبٍ وَأَمَرَهُ أَنْ لَا يَدْخُلَ عَلَى فَاطِمَةَ حَتَّى يَجِيئَهُ» وَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ صَحِيحُ الْإِسْنَادِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُمرسل

✧ «The Messenger of Allah ﷺ married his daughter Fatimah to Ali b. Abi Talib and ordered him not to enter upon Fatimah until he came to him.» And he mentioned the hadith. Its chain is authentic, but they did not record it. Mursal.
