✧ The merits of Fatimah, the daughter of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ

حَدَّثَنَا الْحَاكِمُ الْفَاضِلُ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ إِمْلَاءً غُرَّةَ ذِي الْقَعْدَةِ سَنَةَ اثْنَتَيْ وَأَرْبَعْمِائَةٍ ثنا أَبُو الْحُسَيْنِ عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ مُكْرَمِ بْنِ أَخِي الْحَسَنِ بْنِ مُكْرَمٍ الْبَزَّارُ بِبَغْدَادَ ثنا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ عِيسَى الصَّفَّارُ الْعَسْكَرِي ثنا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ دَاوُدَ الْخُرَيْبِيُّ ثنا شِهَابُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «أَتَانِي جِبْرِيلُ عَلَيْهِ الصَّلَاةُ والسَّلَامُ بِسَفَرْجَلَةٍ مِنَ الْجَنَّةِ فَأَكَلْتُهَا لَيْلَةَ أُسْرِيَ بِي فَعَلِقَتْ خَدِيجَةُ بِفَاطِمَةَ فَكُنْتُ إِذَا اشْتَقْتُ إِلَى رَائِحَةِ الْجَنَّةِ شَمِمْتُ رَقَبَةَ فَاطِمَةَ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Gabriel ﷺ brought me a quince from Paradise, and I ate it on the night I was taken on the Night Journey, and Khadijah conceived Fatimah. Whenever I longed for the fragrance of Paradise, I would smell the neck of Fatimah."
