✧ I heard Abu Tha'labah al-Khushani say: When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ returned from a military expedition or journey, he would go to the mosque and pray two rak'ahs, then he would go to Fatimah before going to his wives. When he returned, he came out of the mosque and Fatimah met him at the door of the house, kissing his mouth while her eyes wept. He said to her, "O my daughter, what makes you weep?" She said, "O Messenger of Allah, I see you disheveled and exhausted, and your clothes have become worn." He said, "Do not weep, for Allah ﷻ has sent your father for a matter by which no house of mud or hair on the face of the earth will remain except that Allah will bring it honor or humiliation, until it reaches wherever the night reaches."
