✧ The merits of Fatimah, the daughter of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ الْعَدْلُ بِبَغْدَادَ ثنا أَبُو بَكْرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي الْعَوَّامِ الرِّيَاحِيُّ ثنا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ أَنَا الْعَوَّامُ بْنُ حَوْشَبٍ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ قَالَ

أَتَانَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَوَضَعَ رِجْلَهُ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَ فَاطِمَةَ فَعَلَّمَنَا مَا نَقُولُ إِذَا أَخَذْنَا مَضَاجِعَنَا فَقَالَ «يَا فَاطِمَةُ إِذَا كُنْتُمَا بِمَنْزِلَتِكُمَا فَسَبِّحَا اللَّهَ ثَلَاثًا وَثَلَاثِينَ وَاحْمَدَا ثَلَاثًا وَثَلَاثِينَ وَكَبِّرَا أَرْبَعًا وَثَلَاثِينَ» قَالَ عَلِيٌّ «وَاللَّهِ مَا تَرَكْتُهَا بَعْدُ» فَقَالَ لَهُ رَجُلٌ كَانَ فِي نَفْسِهِ عَلَيْهِ شَيْءٌ وَلَا لَيْلَةَ صِفِّينَ قَالَ عَلِيٌّ «وَلَا لَيْلَةَ صِفِّينَ» صَحِيحٌ عَلَى شَرْطِ الشَّيْخَيْنِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ على شرط البخاري ومسلم

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came to us and placed his foot between me and Fatimah, and taught us what to say when we went to bed. He said: 'O Fatimah, when you are both in your places, glorify Allah thirty-three times, praise Him thirty-three times, and magnify Him thirty-four times.' 'Ali said: 'By Allah, I have not left it since.' A man who had something in his heart against him said: 'Not even on the night of Siffin?' 'Ali said: 'Not even on the night of Siffin.' Sahih according to the conditions of the two shaykhs, but they did not include it. According to the conditions of al-Bukhari and Muslim.
