حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو بَكْرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ بَالَوَيْهِ ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الْحَرْبِيُّ ثنا مُصْعَبُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الزُّبَيْرِيُّ قَالَ
كَانَتْ فَاطِمَةُ بِنْتُ أَسَدِ بْنِ هَاشِمٍ أَوَّلَ هَاشِمِيَّةٍ وُلِدَتْ مِنْ هَاشِمِيٍّ وَكَانَتْ بِمَحَلٍّ عَظِيمٍ مِنَ الْأَعْيَانِ فِي عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَتُوُفِّيَتْ فِي حَيَاةِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَصَلَّى عَلَيْهَا وَكَانَ اسْمُ عَلِيٍّ أَسَدًا وَلِذَلِكَ يَقُولُ [البحر الرجز] أَنَا الَّذِي سَمَّتْنِي أُمِّي حَيْدَرَهْ
Translation

✧ Fatima bt. Asad b. Hashim was the first Hashimite woman born of a Hashimite, and she had a great standing among the notables during the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. She died during the life of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he prayed over her. Ali's name was Asad, and therefore he says: [al-rajaz] "I am the one whom my mother named Haydara."
