✧ "When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ conquered Makkah, the people of Makkah began bringing their children, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ would wipe their heads and supplicate for them. My father brought me to him, and I was perfumed with khaluq. He did not wipe my head, nor touch me, and nothing prevented him from that except that my mother had perfumed me with khaluq, so he did not touch me because of the khaluq." Ahmad b. Hanbal said: "It has been narrated that he embraced Islam on that day, but the Messenger of Allah ﷺ found him repulsive and did not touch him or supplicate for him. Khaluq does not prevent supplication, nor is there any fault in a child for the action of another, but he was deprived of the blessing of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ due to Allah's prior knowledge of him, and Allah knows best."
