أَخْبَرَنِي مَخْلَدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ الْبَاقَرْحِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَرِيرٍ ثنا الْحَارِثُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ عَنِ الْوَاقِدِيِّ
«أَنَّ عُمَرَ حَجَّ بِالنَّاسِ عَشْرَ حِجَجٍ مُتَوَالِيَاتٍ مِنْهُنَّ حَجَّةً فِي خِلَافَةِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ وَتِسْعًا فِي خِلَافَتِهِ وَأَنَّهُ دُفِنَ إِلَى جَنْبِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ فِي بَيْتِ عَائِشَةَ وَكَانَتْ خِلَافَتُهُ عَشْرَ سِنِينَ وَخَمْسَةَ أَشْهُرٍ وَتِسْعَةً وَعِشْرِينَ يَوْمًا»

✧ Umar performed Hajj with the people for ten consecutive years, one of them during the caliphate of Abu Bakr and nine during his own caliphate, and he was buried beside Abu Bakr in Aisha's house. His caliphate lasted ten years, five months, and twenty-nine days.
