حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ بَالَوَيْهِ ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ صَاعِدٍ ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ أَبِي الْحَارِثِ ثنا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ عَوْنٍ ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ أَبِي خَالِدٍ عَنْ قَيْسٍ عَنْ أَبِي مَسْعُودٍ

أَنَّ رَجُلًا كَلَّمَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَوْمَ الْفَتْحِ فَأَخَذَتْهُ الرِّعْدَةُ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «هَوِّنْ عَلَيْكَ فَإِنَّمَا أَنَا ابْنُ امْرَأَةٍ مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ كَانَتْ تَأْكُلُ الْقَدِيدَ»

✧ A man spoke to the Prophet ﷺ on the Day of the Conquest, and trembling seized him. The Prophet ﷺ said, “Calm down, for I am only the son of a woman of Quraysh who used to eat dried meat.”
