حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ صَالِحِ بْنِ هَانِئٍ ثنا السَّرِيُّ بْنُ خُزَيْمَةَ ثنا مُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ أَخْبَرَنِي عَلِيُّ بْنُ زَيْدٍ عَنْ يُوسُفَ بْنِ مِهْرَانَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ

أَنَّ امْرَأَةَ أَيُّوبَ قَالَتْ لَهُ وَاللَّهُ قَدْ نَزَلَ بِي مِنَ الْجَهْدِ وَالْفَاقَةِ مَا أَنْ بَعَثَ قَوْمِي بِرَغِيفٍ فَأَطْعَمْتُكَ فَادْعُ اللَّهَ أَنْ يَشْفِيَكَ قَالَ وَيْحَكِ كُنَّا فِي النَّعْمَاءِ سَبْعِينَ عَامًا فَنَحْنُ فِي الْبَلَاءِ سَبْعَ سِنِينَ

✧ The wife of Job said to him: "By Allah, I have been stricken with such hardship and poverty that my people would send a loaf of bread and I would feed you. So call upon Allah to heal you." He said: "Woe to you! We were in prosperity for seventy years, so we are in affliction for seven years."
