✧ Job son of Amush was the patient prophet of Allah, upon whom Iblis, the enemy of Allah, brought his troops, cavalry, and infantry to tempt him and divert him from the remembrance of Allah, but Allah protected him and Iblis found no way to him. Allah cast upon Job tranquility and patience over the affliction with which He tested him, so Allah named him {an excellent servant, indeed he was oft-returning} [Sad 44]. Job was a tall man with curly hair, wide eyes, and handsome appearance. On his forehead was written 'the afflicted, the patient.' He had a short neck, broad chest, thick calves and forearms. He used to give to widows and clothe them, striving and sincere for Allah, Exalted be He.
