✧ The chosen one of Allah, Moses, disliked death and regarded it as great. When he disliked it, Allah willed to make death beloved to him and life hateful to him. Prophethood was transferred to Joshua son of Nun, who used to come to him morning and evening. Moses would say to him: "O Prophet of Allah, what has Allah revealed to you?" Joshua son of Nun would say to him: "O Prophet of Allah, did I not accompany you for such and such years? Did I ever ask you about anything Allah revealed to you until you were the one to begin and mention it?" When Moses saw that, he disliked life and loved death.
