✧ This verse was revealed: {Indeed, among your spouses and your children are enemies to you, so beware of them} [al-Taghabun 14] concerning a group of people from Makkah who embraced Islam and wanted to come to the Prophet ﷺ, but their spouses and children refused to let them go. They came to Madinah, and when they arrived to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, they saw that they had gained understanding, so they intended to punish them. Then Allah ﷻ revealed: {But if you pardon and overlook} [al-Taghabun 14] - the verse.
