أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ الْفَقِيهُ بِبَغْدَادَ ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الْقَاضِي وَحَدَّثَنَا الشَّيْخُ أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الْفَقِيهُ أَنْبَأَ الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ الْأَسْفَاطِيُّ قَالَا ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ أَبِي أُوَيْسٍ حَدَّثَنِي أَخِي عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ بِلَالٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَجْلَانَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ فَاطِمَةَ بِنْتِ عُتْبَةَ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ شَمْسٍ

أَنَّ أَبَا حُذَيْفَةَ بْنَ عُتْبَةَ أَتَى بِهَا وَبِهِنْدِ بِنْتِ عُتْبَةَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ تُبَايِعُهُ فَقَالَتْ أَخَذَ عَلَيْنَا فَشَرَطَ عَلَيْنَا قَالَتْ قُلْتُ لَهُ يَا ابْنَ عَمِّ هَلْ عَلِمْتَ فِي قَوْمِكَ مِنْ هَذِهِ الْعَاهَاتِ أَوِ الْهَنَّاتِ شَيْئًا؟ قَالَ أَبُو حُذَيْفَةَ إِيهًا فَبَايِعِيهِ فَإِنَّ بِهَذَا يُبَايِعُ وَهَكَذَا يَشْتَرِطُ فَقَالَتْ هِنْدٌ لَا أُبَايِعُكَ عَلَى السَّرِقَةِ إِنِّي أَسْرِقُ مِنْ مَالِ زَوْجِي فَكَفَّ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يَدَهُ وَكَفَّتْ يَدَهَا حَتَّى أَرْسَلَ إِلَى أَبِي سُفْيَانَ فَتَحَلَّلَ لَهَا مِنْهُ فَقَالَ أَبُو سُفْيَانَ أَمَّا الرَّطْبُ فَنَعَمْ وَأَمَّا الْيَابِسُ فَلَا وَلَا نِعْمَةَ قَالَتْ فَبَايَعْنَاهُ ثُمَّ قَالَتْ فَاطِمَةُ مَا كَانَتْ قُبَّةٌ أَبْغَضُ إِلَيَّ مِنْ قُبَّتِكَ وَلَا أَحَبُّ أَنْ يُبِيحَهَا اللَّهُ وَمَا فِيهَا وَاللَّهِ مَا مِنْ قُبَّةٍ أَحَبُّ إِلَيَّ أَنْ يُعَمِّرَهَا اللَّهُ وَيُبَارَكُ فِيهَا مِنْ قُبَّتِكَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «وَأَيْضًا وَاللَّهِ لَا يُؤْمِنُ أَحَدُكُمْ حَتَّى أَكُونَ أَحَبَّ إِلَيْهِ مِنْ وَلَدِهِ وَوَالِدِهِ»

✧ That Abu Hudhayfa b. 'Utba brought her and Hind bt. 'Utba to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to give him allegiance. She said: "He took from us and stipulated upon us." She said: "I said to him: 'O cousin, have you seen in your people any of these faults or vices?' Abu Hudhayfa said: 'Enough! Give him allegiance, for with this he accepts allegiance and thus he stipulates.' Hind said: 'I will not give you allegiance upon theft, for I steal from my husband's wealth.' The Prophet ﷺ withheld his hand and she withheld her hand until he sent to Abu Sufyan, who made it lawful for her from it. Abu Sufyan said: 'As for what is fresh, yes; as for what is dry, no, and no blessing.' She said: Then we gave him allegiance. Then Fatima said: 'There was no dome more hateful to me than your dome, nor did I love that Allah should lay it open and what is in it. By Allah, there is no dome I love more that Allah should maintain it and bless it than your dome.' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'And also, by Allah, none of you believes until I am more beloved to him than his child and his parent.'"

  • هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحُ الْإِسْنَادِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ صحيح
